11.0 Viewing PDF Files

Documents that need to be shared or printed across platforms can be saved as PDF (Portable Document Format) files, for example, in the OpenOffice.org suite. SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop ships with several PDF viewers such as KPDF and Adobe* Acrobat* Reader.

To access KPDF or Adobe Acrobat Reader:

  1. Click Computer More Applications Office .

  2. Click Acrobat Reader PDF Viewer or KPDF PDF Viewer.

  3. To view a PDF file, click File Open , locate the desired PDF file, then click Open.

  4. Navigate through the document using the navigation icons at the top or bottom of the window. If your PDF document provides bookmarks, you can access them in the left panel of the viewer.
