1.2 Logging Out
When you are finished using the computer, you can log out and
leave the system running or restart or shut down the computer. If
your system provides power management, you can also suspend the
computer, making the next system start much faster than a complete
boot.
To log out and leave the system running, do one of the
following:

From the main menu, select .

Use the keyboard shortcut that is defined in the KDE Control
Center, described in Section 2.2.6,
Regional & Accessibility. Usually, to log out with confirmation, this is
. In the following dialog you still have the choice to
cancel the logout process. If you want to log out without any
confirmation, press

Click the icon in the panel. If your
panel does not include the logout icon, you can add it to the panel
as described in Section 1.1.3,
Locking Your Screen.
