1.3 The Installation Workflow
The openSUSE installation is split into three main parts: preparation,
installation, configuration. During the preparation phase you configure
some basic parameters such as language, time, and desktop type. In the
installation phase you decide which software to install, where to install
it and how to boot the installed system. Upon finishing the installation
the machine reboots into the newly installed system and starts the
configuration. In this stage you set up users and passwords, and configure
network and Internet access as well as hardware components such as printers.
