Q: How to configure FTP user to be "jailed" (chrooted) into their home directory?

1. Read General Notes
2. Read How to install FTP Server for File Transfer service?

3. sudo cp /etc/proftpd.conf /etc/proftpd.conf_backup
   sudo gedit /etc/proftpd.conf

4. Find this section

   ...
   DenyFilter                      \*.*/
   ...

5. Add the following line below it

   DefaultRoot                     ~

6. Save the edited file (sample)

7. sudo /etc/init.d/proftpd restart
