Viewing a Remote Desktop

The vino package uses the VNC a protocol, allowing the remote display of a user's desktop. The VNC server provided by vino integrates with GNOME and will allow a user to export a running desktop to another computer for remote use or diagnosis. This is generally installed as part of Gnome.

Run vino-preferences to give permission for others to connect. Remote users can connect using vncviewer. This might be on a MacOS or under MS/Windows, or another GNU/Linux machine.
