Bookmarklets: Maximum Length

Question: What's the maximum length of bookmarklet code?

Answer: The maximum length of bookmarklet code depends on the browser.

Experiments show that the toughest requirements are in Internet Explorer 4.x. Any bookmarklet whose code is longer than ~2000 characters might not work in this browser.
