WSDL Extensibility Element Factories

Identifier:
org.eclipse.wst.wsdl.extensibilityElementFactories

Since:
This extension point is part of an interim API that is still under development and expected to change significantly before reaching stability. It is being made available at this early stage to solicit feedback from pioneering adopters on the understanding that any code that uses this API will almost certainly be broken (repeatedly) as the API evolves.

Description:
The WSDL Extensibility Element Factories extension point allows clients to register factories for creating custom extensibility elements.

Configuration Markup:

<!ELEMENT extension ( extensibilityElementFactory)>

<!ATTLIST extension

point CDATA #REQUIRED

id    CDATA #IMPLIED

name  CDATA #IMPLIED>

  • point - a fully qualified identifier of the target extension point
  • id - an optional identifier of the extension instance
  • name - an optional name of the extension instance

<!ELEMENT extensibilityElementFactory EMPTY>

<!ATTLIST extensibilityElementFactory

namespace CDATA #REQUIRED

class     CDATA #REQUIRED>

  • namespace - The namespace this extension point instance applies to.
  • class - The class that implements org.eclipse.wst.wsdl.util.ExtensibilityElementFactory.

Examples:
The following is an example of an extensibility element factory contribution:

   <extension
         point=
"org.eclipse.wst.wsdl.extensibilityElementFactories"
>
      <extensibilityElementFactory
            namespace=
"https://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap/"

            class=
"org.eclipse.wst.wsdl.binding.soap.internal.util.SOAPExtensibilityElementFactory"
/>
   </extension>
