New File Creation Wizards

In addition to manifest files, several other types of files are needed in various aspects and at different stages of plug-in development:

  • Extension point schemas - specify the grammar of extension points
  • Product configurations - manage all the data needed to define, brand and build an Eclipse product
  • Target definitions - define all aspects of a target platform
  • Cheat sheets - Create a cheat sheet for an Eclipse product
  • Help Tables of Contents - Create a Table of Contents for the documentation in an Eclipse product
  • Category Definitions - specify categories to apply to features during export
Open the new wizard File > New > Other... > Plug-in Development from the top level menu.
